Hope - Original Watercolour Painting

The Piece

Swallows earned their symbolic meaning of hope through sailors who would tattoo a swallow before they left for their journey and another when they safely made it home. The original painting was made with watercolours, ink and coloured pencils and features two swallows surrounded by pink Dahlias, io moths and blueberries.
